If your child has a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP, they may be eligible for Medicare rebates for therapy sessions. Please speak with your GP to see if your child is eligible, and bring the referral letter and plan to your first appointment.

We also see clients who are self-managed or plan-managed under the NDIS. If your child has funding for psychology or therapeutic supports in their NDIS plan, you may be able to use this to cover sessions. Please note we are not NDIS-registered, so we are only able to see self-managed and plan-managed participants.

No referral is needed, you’re welcome to contact us directly to arrange an assessment or to discuss your concerns.

However, some families may choose to get a referral from a paediatrician under the “Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorder” (CND) assessment pathway. This can help with Medicare rebates for certain allied health services, but it is not required to access our assessments.

Yes, we often assess across multiple areas when it's helpful to get a full picture of your child’s strengths and needs. For example, an Autism assessment can also explore ADHD, learning difficulties, and cognitive functioning.

You can add additional areas to any package:

Our assessment process is designed to be thorough, supportive, and tailored to your child. It typically involves several key steps:

Initial Parent/Caregiver Interview A comprehensive session to gather information about your child’s development, behaviour, and functioning across settings. Approximately 90 minutes

One or More Assessment Sessions with Your Child These sessions involve a range of cognitive, learning, or behavioural tasks, depending on the referral question. Sessions are structured to support your child’s comfort, focus, and engagement.

Screening Questionnaires Completed by a parent/caregiver and a teacher to assess your child’s social, emotional, and behavioural functioning.

School Consultation We connect with your child’s teacher or a key staff member to gain further insight into their learning and behaviour in the school environment.

Feedback Session A supportive session where we review the results, answer your questions, and discuss the next steps. Approximately 60 minutes

Comprehensive Report You’ll receive a detailed written report outlining all assessment findings, relevant diagnoses (if applicable), and practical, tailored recommendations. A school-friendly summary version is also provided.

Yes, some parts of the process (such as intake or feedback sessions) can be offered via telehealth where appropriate. Assessment sessions are typically completed in person.

We are located in Melbourne's South East, in Upper Beaconsfield. On-site and street parking is available nearby. Directions and parking details will be provided in your confirmation email.

We provide assessments for children and adolescents, generally between the ages of 5 to 18 years. If you’re unsure whether your child is the right age for a particular assessment, please feel free to contact us.

Payment is broken down across the assessment process, with an invoice sent after each session. This allows families to manage costs gradually. If you require a payment plan or need to discuss alternative arrangements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we're happy to help.
